Privacy Policy

Calculator Inputs

All of our calculators (mortgage amortization, extra payments, recast, balloon, refinance) run entirely in your browser. The loan amounts, rates, and other numbers you enter are never sent to our servers, stored in a database, or logged by us — the math happens locally on your device and disappears when you close or refresh the page. We have no way to see what numbers you calculated.

Information We Collect

If you email us via sukielovesupport@gmail.com, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that email, which we use only to respond to you. We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties.

Like most websites, we automatically collect standard technical information when you visit — such as your browser type, device type, approximate location (city/region level, derived from IP address), and pages viewed — through our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Advertising and Cookies

This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense and earn referral compensation through affiliate partnerships with mortgage lenders (see our Terms of Service for details on affiliate relationships). Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can review and adjust how Google personalizes ads at adssettings.google.com, and you can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you click an affiliate/lender link on this site, the partner network (for example, CJ Affiliate) may set a cookie to track that the referral came from MortgageAmortizationCalc. This is standard affiliate-tracking practice and does not give us access to any information you subsequently provide to that lender.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use a small number of third-party services to run and analyze this site:

• Google Analytics — aggregated, anonymized traffic and usage statistics, so we know which pages are useful and which need improvement.
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session recordings and heatmaps that help us see where visitors get stuck on a page, without collecting anything you type into a calculator input.
• Google AdSense — displays advertising and uses its own cookies as described above.
• CJ Affiliate — tracks referrals to lender partners when you click an affiliate link, as described above.
• Vercel — our hosting provider, which processes standard web server logs (IP address, request timestamps) as part of serving the site.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data; we don't control their practices beyond the settings we configure on our end.

Data Retention

Since we don't store calculator inputs at all, there's nothing to retain from your use of the tools themselves. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve your question, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. Aggregated analytics data is retained according to each provider's standard retention window (Google Analytics defaults to 14 months for most metrics).

California and Other State Privacy Rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state laws give you rights to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We don't sell personal information. Because we don't store calculator inputs and only retain information you voluntarily send us, most requests can be resolved by emailing sukielovesupport@gmail.com.

European Visitors (GDPR)

If you're located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. As above, since calculator inputs aren't stored server-side, the practical scope of data we hold is limited to voluntary email correspondence and aggregated, anonymized analytics.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults researching mortgage financing and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you. Since we do not store calculator inputs and only retain information you voluntarily send us by email, most requests can be resolved simply by emailing sukielovesupport@gmail.com and asking us to delete any prior correspondence.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for legal/regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
